Separate JSON syntax from application rules

Correct one syntax error at a time

The input {"a":1,} fails because JSON does not allow a trailing comma. Change it to {"a":1} and validate again. Single-quoted strings and comments are also invalid. An error position may follow the actual mistake, so inspect the preceding token too.

Valid values do not need to be objects

An array, string, number, boolean or null can also be a valid JSON document. For example, [1,2] and null pass syntax validation. Your API may still require an object with specific fields; that requirement needs separate schema or business-rule validation.

Know what this check does not prove

A successful result does not verify email addresses, required fields, safe number ranges or unique object keys. The browser parser can accept duplicate keys and round large numbers internally. Use the formatter to inspect the original numeric spelling, and validate application constraints before submitting data.
